The Big Read Sonoma County Book Discussion group features former poet laureate Gwynn O’Gara talking about “The Pocket Emily Dickinson,” a collection of poems, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, in the Forum Room of the Windsor Library, 9291 Old Redwood Hwy., Bldg. 100. Check out the inside and outside of an ambulance 1:30-3 p.m. Wednesday, when a paramedic from Sonoma Life Support talks about his job to children 3-5, showing them some tools of the trade and letting them tour the ambulance. This event will take place at the Huerta Gym, 9291 Old Redwood Hwy., Bldg. 200. Lots of great local art is on display at the Windsor Arts Council Gallery, 507 David Clayton Lane. Meet the artists there at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb.12. Art Show: The Poems Of Emily Dickinson. Here’s a chance to enjoy some local artist shaping Emily Dickinson’s language into art for all to see. Friends of the Windsor Library invite you to stop by from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. March 13-23 at the Windsor Library, 9291 Old Redwood Hwy., Bldg. 100, to walk around and see what some of the local artist have come up with. Potluck sewing night at The Material Girl fabrics and quilting supplies is 6-10 p.m. Friday, March 15. Come and mingle with local enthusiasts while you have a bite to eat.
