Windsor firefighters participating in blood drive
The Windsor Fire Protection District is participating in the annual North Bay Bucket Brigade blood drive on Jan. 19 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at Fire Station 2.
Northern California fire departments are competing for the most blood donations to the Blood Centers of the Pacific in January. The Windsor Fire Protection District has won the past three years.
Windsor firefighters will serve breakfast and lunch on the day of the blood drive. Donors are encouraged to eat a meal and be well hydrated before giving blood. They also must present a valid form of identification.
