A 49ers poem by Windsor fan Phil Fox

Saturday, January 19th, 2013 | Posted by

Remember last weekend when San Francisco’s own Colin Kaepernick threw for 263 yards and two touchdowns, then ran for another 181 yards and two more touchdowns to beat Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers?

Phil Fox does.  He was so excited the 49ers beat Green Bay that he was motivated to write a poem. Some of his friends saw the poem and decided it was pretty good, so they turned it in to a local radio station and BAM! It was on the air for all of Sonoma County to hear.

Phil Fox is a local Windsor guy, so it also needed to be shared with as many people in Windsor as possible. The 49ers play the Atlanta Falcons at noon Sunday, Jan. 20, at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, and are favored to win by 4 1/2 points, so if everything goes as most of expected, then maybe Phil Fox can write us another poem next week.

Kaepernick was AWESOME, as he led them to the win…
His 181 yards rushing, is the best there’s ever been…

With 2 passing touchdowns, and 2 more rushing scores…
Not too bad when you think, that’s only been done 3 times before…

Although he had some early jitters, he had no problem bouncin’ back…
instead of mopin’ and crying about it, he went straight on the attack!!

He silenced all the critics, who said they never had a chance..
Cause it sure WASN’T Aaron Rodgers who was doing the victory dance…

It’s Colin and the Niners crew, since the mighty Pack went down…
Now one more win in Atlanta, and they’ll be SUPER BOWL bound!!!

Kids are usually cruel, so it’s great that his friends were so supportive about his Kaepernick poem. Hopefully his poems weren’t too “dark” when the lights went out after the Super Bowl.
